Zia's Special Staff

Head Chef, Ahmed Obo, a native of Lamu, Kenya, cooked in New York City before moving to Santa Fe in 1994, works closely with the other cooks, local ranchers and farmers on our extensive menu and daily specials, using seasonal local produce and the freshest ingredients.

The Zia’s managers, Eva Nickell, Sam Treece, Sonia Alas, Julie Dolan and Kate Tyler oversee the smooth operation of the restaurant, training staff to excede the expectations of our guests.

Marcy Walsh, our Bar Manager, makes certain that our bar is the best in town- from Margaritas to Mojitos, Pisco Sours, Martinis, a great reasonably-priced wine list and draft beers.
